Job Description

Our warehouse team work hard intaking and out loading fresh produce to and from our customers, and we are looking for an experienced Transport Administrator to support the team as we experience continued growth.

Experience within produce isn't essential, although a background of working in a busy transport office would be beneficial. The most important thing is that you are a skilled administrator with excellent IT skills and attention to detail as you will be required to check PO's and corresponding invoices. Telephone confidence is also really important, as you will be dealing with calls from hauliers, booking transport and liaising with internal stakeholders.

Main Tasks



To book in all transport on arrival, by completing a goods received notice accurately and efficiently, and ensuring this is communicated out to the relevant parties.

Be responsible for booking transport and liaising with numerous hauliers on a regular basis.

Be responsible for chasing deliveries and liaising with haulage companies to get receipt of Proof of Deliveries - and where necessary communicating this information out to relevant parties.

Be responsible for collating delivery information.

Be able to produce relevant warehouse paperwork, Including - Load plans, delivery notes, pallet labels, etc

Be responsible for scheduling arrivals / despatch for both own product and 3rd party. This will include planning time slots where necessary and covering logistics on inbound / outbound.

Be responsible for customer facing via e-mail, phone calls, etc.

Liaising with customers with the upmost service to support with customer enquiries, including - collections, shortages, delivery times.

Arranging couriers where required

Arranging collections where required

The ability to accurately record stocks on a daily basis.

Planning and logging deliveries

Providing general admin duties and support where required

To understand the basics of the despatch process

To ensure all necessary paperwork and admin from the warehouse areas are being understood and filled correctly.

To audit paperwork relevant to the warehouse area - Delivery notes, GRN's, etc.

To understand the implications of mistakes, and the importance of correct and accurate information being recorded and communicated throughout the business.

A general confidence in computer skills, with the ability to use excel to an above average level.

Pay: 13.75 per hour
