About the Project

We are looking for experienced and reliable Tree Planters to join our woodland creation team at Fasque Estate. This work forms part of a large-scale reforestation and carbon capture initiative delivered by Carbon Elite (Scotland) Ltd and managed by Fasque Forestry Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

Transplants to be planted per specification (L, V or T notch planting to root collar depth, properly healed-in). Hit planting targets set. Handle, store, and care for bare root and cell-grown trees to ensure healthy establishment. Check and count trees prior to planting; report any deficiencies to the Assistant Forest Manager. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, removing all litter and waste from site. Follow all safety, environmental, and welfare procedures as directed by Fasque Forestry Ltd.

Requirements

Proven experience in tree planting or similar outdoor land-based work. A good level of physical fitness and ability to work in all weather conditions. Understanding of safe working practices and adherence to the Forestry Industry Safety Accord (FISA) guidelines. Valid LANTRA or City & Guilds NPTC certification for any machinery operated (copies to be provided before starting). Ability to work independently and as part of a small planting team under direction from the Assistant Forest Manager.

Work is expected to run 5 days per week Payment made weekly in arrears, subject to approved invoices Contractors are responsible for tree care prior to planting and must ensure high standards of quality and survival
