Summary

VWJ Earthmoving is a local earthmoving business committed to delivering quality service and safety excellence. As our current driver embarks on a different career path, we're seeking a reliable and dedicated Tipper Driver to join our team and play a key role in our operations.

Responsibilities

You will have your own unique tipper to look after - keeping the truck clean, inside and out. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement and delivery of clay / subsoils / aggregates / topsoil throughout the Northwest including Cheshire & Staffordshire, servicing mainly the Construction, Housebuilding & Agricultural sectors. Work is very varied - not an A to B job. Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail, reporting any issues and defects immediately and keeping the office updated with any issues onsite or otherwise. Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times. Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements. Daily walk around checks and torqueing wheel nuts and topping up of lubricants when required.

Requirements

Good timekeeping and able to work unsupervised. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members. Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Must have good communication skills and a flexible 'can do' attitude to work. Local area knowledge preferred. Previous tipping experience and MPQ card preferred, but not essential. Must have HGV Sat Nav or access to equivalent app. Must have min of 2 years HGV driving experience No inexperienced drivers - whilst we can assist you with familiarisation of the vehicle and the tipping operation we don't have the resources to be able to teach you to drive. No more than 6 points, no previous drug or drink driving offences. No new passes, or inexperienced drivers, but please bear us in mind for the future.

Hours & Schedule:

Generally working from

5:30 am - 6:00 pm

, Monday to Friday (start time varies depending on whether the vehicle is loaded, empty or where it is working). Some Saturday availability is preferred. Day-cab tipper only--

no nights out

.

What We Offer:

Full-time, permanent role with weekly pay. 28 days' holiday per year (including Bank Holidays). Two-week and one day shutdown over Christmas. Full PPE supplied.
