HGV Class 2 (C) 8-Wheel Tipper Driver - Permanent, Local Work

to start week commencing 5th January 2026.

The Role

We are looking for an

experienced, reliable Class 2 tipper driver

to join our team on a

permanent, long-term basis

.

This is

not agency work

and

not A-to-B trunking

.
The role involves varied work and requires a professional, safety-focused approach.

You will be allocated

your own vehicle

, and drivers are expected to take pride in their truck and their work.

Key Responsibilities

Transporting clay, subsoils, aggregates, and topsoil Working on construction, housebuilding, and agricultural sites Completing paperwork accurately and communicating with the office Daily walkaround checks, wheel nut torque checks, and basic maintenance Full compliance with drivers' hours, WTD, and site safety rules

This Role Is Suited To Drivers Who

Have

excellent attendance and timekeeping

Can work reliably and unsupervised Take pride in their vehicle Understand site rules and tipper operations Are looking for

stable, long-term employment

, not short-term work

Essential Requirements

Class 2 (C) licence Minimum

2 years HGV experience

Previous tipper experience preferred Valid Driver Card & Tachograph Card HGV sat nav (or equivalent app) No more than 6 licence points No drink or drug driving offences

No new passes or inexperienced drivers,

but please bear us in mind for the future.
MPQC card preferred but not essential.

Hours & Benefits

Working hours generally between

5:30am - 6:00pm

, Monday to Friday Occasional Saturday availability preferred

Weekly pay

No nights out (day cabs only)

28 days holiday

(including Bank Holidays)

Two-week Christmas shutdown
