Community Tutor
who is as committed and compassionate as we are. You'll be working with students outside of mainstream education--young people who may have been excluded, have additional needs, or are navigating trauma or mental health challenges.
Your role is to break down those barriers and help students
rediscover their love of learning
, through trust, connection, and creativity.
What You'll Do
Deliver meaningful, engaging, and individualised learning sessions in community settings
Build positive relationships that foster trust and growth
Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs using empathy and structure
Be part of a team that puts student wellbeing at the heart of education
Model consistency, kindness, and professional boundaries in every interaction

Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Passion for working with young people outside of mainstream settings
3 years teaching / tutoring experience
Desirable (or willing to train):
Mental Health First Aid
training
Trauma Perceptive Practice (TPP)
trained
Experience in alternative provision, therapeutic education, or SEMH support
