, you will be responsible for crafting intuitive, accessible, and delightful user experiences across our strategic product line, while also helping to shape how we embed AI into our design processes and product experiences. You'll work closely with the Senior Product Manager, Engineering teams, and Data Scientists to bring the voice of the user into every stage of the product lifecycle - from discovery and ideation through to delivery and iteration.
You will be empathetic, detail-oriented, and data-informed, using research, design thinking, and AI-enhanced insights to solve real user problems. You will champion usability, accessibility, and ethical AI integration, ensuring our products not only meet user needs but exceed expectations in terms of clarity, simplicity, and engagement.
This is a pivotal leadership role in shaping the end-to-end experience of our SaaS HR and Payroll solutions, with a strong focus on user-led design and smart automation to drive adoption, satisfaction, and commercial success.
Responsibilities
Lead user research to uncover pain points, behaviours, and unmet needs using qualitative, quantitative, and AI-powered analytics.
Translate insights into user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with product strategy, business goals, and intelligent automation opportunities.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to explore AI-driven features and ensure alignment with technical and ethical considerations.
Facilitate discovery and design workshops with stakeholders and customers to envision user-centric experiences, including those enhanced by predictive or generative AI.
Advocate for accessibility, inclusive design, and transparency in AI-powered interactions across all touchpoints.
Validate design decisions through usability testing, analytics, and AI-driven behaviour modelling.
Maintain and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and scalability across both traditional and AI-enabled product experiences.
Contribute to go-to-market activities by supporting the creation of user-facing documentation, onboarding flows, and marketing assets--ensuring seamless human-AI interaction.
Stay current with UX, AI, and interaction design trends, tools, and best practices, bringing fresh thinking and responsible innovation to the team.
Skills & experience
Deep empathy and customer centricity, with a passion for solving real-world problems through design and emerging technologies.
Strong communicator who can clearly articulate design rationale--and the value of AI-enhanced experiences--to technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in design and prototyping tools, with experience incorporating AI design tools (e.g. Figma AI, Uizard, Galileo, or similar) a plus.
Confident in using data and AI-generated insights to inform and validate design decisions.
A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX design leadership, ideally including examples of AI-enhanced or data-driven experiences.
Who will you be?
3+ years of experience in UX or Product Design, with recent leadership responsibilities--ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
Proven experience designing for complex web applications or platforms, preferably with AI-powered or workflow automation features.
Experience working alongside Product Managers, Engineers, and AI/ML teams in agile product teams.
Strong understanding of usability, accessibility, ethical AI design, and responsive design principles.
Familiarity with HR and/or Payroll software is a plus but not essential.
