Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver/Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a clean drivers license and be physically fit has heavy lifting will be involved, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods around our construction sites. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a construction environment. As a key member of the site team, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, delivering products to various locations while maintaining high standards of service.

Duties

Operate the van safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required. Assist in the warehouse when not driving, including inventory management and organisation of stock. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or inquiries professionally. Assist with site labouring Duties

Experience

Previous experience as a Van Driver or Delivery Driver is preferred. Previous experience as site labourer Familiarity with flatbed driving is advantageous but not essential. Mechanical knowledge of vehicles is beneficial for troubleshooting minor issues. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members and clients. Experience working in a construction environment is desirable. A valid commercial driving licence is required for this position.
