Our client is a leading ground service equipment engineering company that specialises in mechanical services and fleet management at Heathrow Airport is looking to recruit a

Vehicle Mechanic

due to expansion as they are looking to increase their team and looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician /GSE Mechanic work in their state-of-the-art workshop.

This is an exciting chance for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to work hands-on with specialist Ground Service Equipment (GSE) at the airport. From powerful towing tractors to precision baggage elevators, you'll be working on machines that keep aircraft moving and passengers flying.

Vehicle Mechanic- The Role As a Mechanic, you'll:

Maintain and repair unique airport vehicles and equipment

Work both in our workshop and out on the airfield

Use your technical know-how to diagnose faults and keep operations running safely and efficiently

Equipment you'll work on includes:

Aircraft tugs

Towing tractors

Baggage elevators

Specialist, one-of-a-kind vehicles

Vehicle Mechanic About You

You're a qualified mechanic (City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent) with experience in light vehicles, HGVs, or plant machinery. You will be safety-conscious, practical, and enjoy solving problems. Previous Work on commercial or plant vehicles is an advantage, but if you're mechanically skilled and eager to learn, you'll thrive here.
Provide certifications for all qualifications.

Be able to obtain an airside pass which will require you to undergo a criminal record check and 5-year history verification.
Hold a valid UK driving licence.

Ability to deal effectively with people at different levels, someone who is a good team player, willing to listen and take new ideas on board with a 'can do' attitude.
2 years minimum HGV / GSE maintenance experience or Forklift Engineering experience or car experience
