Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Sales Manager to lead and develop our Sales team, drive revenue growth, and support the delivery of our venue sales strategy. This role is both strategic and hands-on balancing leadership with active involvement in client development, forecasting, and sales performance management.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in managing a sales team, a deep understanding of B2B venue sales, and the ability to engage confidently with data, systems, and cross-functional stakeholders. Experience with

is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Culture
Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing Sales team
Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development conversations
Set clear goals, expectations, and support a culture of accountability and excellence
Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless client delivery
Sales Strategy & Account Management
Deliver revenue targets across B&B, residential, meeting, and event bookings
Proactively develop new business and nurture existing client relationships
Conduct account reviews, identify growth opportunities, and support rate strategy
Monitor pipeline performance and ensure conversion metrics are tracked and improved
Revenue & Forecasting
Contribute to monthly revenue forecasts and annual budget planning
Lead the Sales team's input into weekly BOB (Business on the Books) reviews
Monitor booking pace, pick-up trends, and lost business data to inform actions
Support meeting room and accommodation yield decisions
Conduct weekly audits of sales data and pipeline reporting to ensure accuracy and alignment with key performance metrics
Encourage a proactive sales mindset across the team, with a focus on upselling and maximising additional revenue opportunities
System & Process Ownership
Be a subject matter expert in KX and ensure consistent, accurate usage across the team
Maintain structured processes around enquiry management, reporting, and handovers
Ensure data accuracy across proposals, contracts, and CRM inputs
Market & Competitor Insight
Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor pricing, and customer expectations
Use market intelligence to inform strategy and recommend proactive sales approaches
Experience & Skills Required
Proven experience leading a successful sales team in a venue, hospitality, or events-based environment
Strong understanding of commercial KPIs including revenue forecasting, BOB, and yield
Hands-on experience with KX or similar venue management systems
Ability to analyse data and translate insight into action
Confident communicator, with experience managing senior client relationships
A natural leader who leads by example and builds team capability
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and process consistency
Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, with a genuine interest in client success
