Job Type: 12 months Fixted Term Contract, Part Time

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

Hours: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays - 8am-5pm. No weekends, on call or Bank Holidays

Since 2006, we've been one of the country's leading veterinary specialist referral hospitals with vets and their teams caring for small animals every day.


Our dedicated vets, nurses and nursing assistants, supported by the administrative teams, are committed to providing the highest quality surgical and medical care for pets. Many of our clinicians are nationally or internationally recognised specialists in their field and bring unique experiences to care for pets.


We accept referrals for Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Dentistry, Cardiology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, Physiotherapy as well as Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) and a Pain Clinic.


We have comprehensive and established clinical and non-clinical programmes for training, development and CPD.


You can find us in Hampshire, just south of Winchester, close to the M3 and national and international transport links. We are in a serene countryside setting with state-of-the-art facilities and are available to look after pets 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Role and Responsibilities




We are looking for a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist (Minimum qualification PgDip/MSc degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy with a

minimum

of one years'

experience

OR

BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Physiotherapy with a

minimum

of two years'

experience) and preferably experience in a referral hospital setting to provide all aspects of physiotherapy care for the inpatient and outpatient caseload to cover sabbatical leave.


The ideal applicant will have a strong drive and passion for the field of veterinary physiotherapy, with excellent knowledge of the acute stage, post-operative period of rehabilitation of both orthopaedic and neurology cases. They should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the confidence to advocate for their patients and their needs. A strong team focus is a must with the ability to adapt in a busy multidisciplinary environment. We have a well-equipped service including laser therapy, stance analysis and therapeutic ultrasound.


Please note:


Experience of working within a referral surgery is preferred, however not essential.
