Popular London music school looking for a career teacher to join the school: Violin Teacher

We are pleased to offer a full-time ( 29-34 hours a week) position for a dedicated and passionate music teacher providing one-to-one lessons in our studios (one location, no need to travel). Below are the key details of the role:

Schedule:

Full Time 5 days a week, will follow the current teachers' schedule and will have two days off till the end of this season ( 17th of July 2026). Current Working days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Days off: Tuesday and Sunday

This schedule can be changed for next season (September 2026) and adjusted to the new teacher's preferences and studio availability.

Hourly Rate: 20.00

Additional Earning Opportunities:

Option to conduct extra lessons during holidays for additional income. During the Easter and Summer holidays, if you wish, you may continue working and arrange your own schedule, providing the opportunity for additional income. We do not have half terms at our School, which means you will enjoy a consistent income throughout the year.
We are looking for a teacher who wants to make teaching a lifelong career and a long-term commitment to our music school and will be based locally.

We require the following:

A) Teach the following subjects on a one-to-one lesson basis.

B) Violin up to grade 8 , Trinity Classical, ABRSM classical

C) Music Theory up to Grade 5

D) Able to prepare students for the following grades:

1) ABRSM

2) TRINITY

E) Take part in and help with our school performances and shows

F) Has two years of teaching experience with young children and adults

G) Can provide at least one reference

H) A valid DBS certificate (Disclosure of Barring Service)

I) Can show proof of right to work in the UK (National Insurance Number)

J) Has Public Liability Insurance (if successful, the school can show you how to apply for this, and it is usually 68- 110 a year)

K) Can work through all three terms of the school year and follow current teachers' Rota till the end of this season.
