We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to oversee the daily operations of our community cafe. As a Volunteer Cafe Supervisor, you will help ensure the cafe runs smoothly, safely, and in line with food hygiene regulations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about community engagement and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise cafe operations during morning hours (10am-1pm)
Oversee food preparation and service, ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene
Monitor and maintain compliance with Level 2 Food Hygiene, allergen awareness, and HACCP protocols
Support and guide volunteers and staff working in the cafe
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and cafe areas
Ensure all food safety records and procedures are accurately maintained
Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory as needed
Provide a warm, welcoming environment for customers and volunteers alike
Requirements:
Previous cafe, catering, or hospitality experience
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (valid)
Allergen awareness and understanding of food allergy protocols
Working knowledge of HACCP procedures
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Friendly, approachable manner with a community-focused attitude
Ability to commit to regular shifts between 10am and 1pm, Monday to Saturday
