Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Fundraiser to join our charity. This is a voluntary role. Hours are flexible but a rough estimate of 3-6 hours a week Is probable. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing and executing strategies to secure financial support through donations, grants, and partnerships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful causes while honing skills in marketing, relationship management, and public relations. The ideal applicant will be organised, proactive, and committed to advancing our mission through effective engagement with donors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organisational goals Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing donors and potential supporters Organise fundraising events, campaigns, and outreach programmes to maximise engagement and donations Manage donor databases using Excel Create compelling marketing materials and communications to promote fundraising initiatives across various channels Represent the organisation at community gatherings, and media engagements to enhance visibility and support Collaborate with other volunteers on grant applications, sponsorship proposals, and partnership opportunities Provide excellent customer service to supporters, ensuring they feel valued and informed about the Charity"s impact

Experience

Proven experience in fundraising, marketing, or relationship management within a non-profit or charitable organisation Strong understanding of fundraising techniques including grant writing, event planning, and donor engagement Excellent communication skills--both written and verbal--with the ability to build rapport with diverse audiences Experience in public relations or community outreach is advantageous Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage projects
