Hearts in Healing CIC is a community interest company supporting people who have experienced trauma, focusing on healing, wellbeing, and building resilience. We create safe spaces, organise events, and run projects to make a real difference in our local community.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated
Volunteer Manager
to work closely with our Founder to coordinate, support, and manage Hearts in Healing's volunteers. This is a hands-on role that is essential to the smooth running of our charity and events.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, induct, and support volunteers across various roles (social media, events, admin).
Create and manage volunteer schedules and rotas.
Act as first point of contact for volunteers, offering guidance and support.
Organise and lead volunteer meetings and training.
Maintain volunteer records.
Help plan and deliver charity projects, campaigns, and events.
Ensure safeguarding and confidentiality standards are followed.
Promote a positive, supportive culture for volunteers.
Skills & Qualities:
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Friendly, approachable, and supportive attitude.
Ability to manage people and build positive relationships.
Reliable, responsible, and committed.
Previous experience in a charity, voluntary sector, or people-management role is desirable but not essential.
Up to date DBS (desirable but not essential, we will apply for you)
Time Commitment:
Approx. 6-8 hours per week, flexible timing. Some extra hours may be needed around events.
Hybrid remote - must be available to meet in person S20/city centre
