(developing organisational frameworks), I've crafted a
job post for your "Organisational Structurist/Strategist"
role. I've made the title sound game-changing and empowering, especially for Black people looking to be part of something transformational, and I've infused your CIC's values --
Knowledge of Self, Each One Teach One, and Love as Law
-- as the DNA and North Star of the role. I've also made it very clear (multiple times) that this is
strictly voluntary
with expenses covered, and only small-scale paid roles in the future as funding grows.

About Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C.
Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C. is a survivor-led, Black British and Caribbean-led grassroots organisation committed to exposing and tackling the hidden pandemic of child sexual abuse (CSA) in our communities. We use truth-telling, storytelling, and enterprise to transform trauma into healing and empowerment, guiding our people from
healing to entrepreneurship
.
At the heart of our work are our values:
?
Knowledge of Self
- knowing who we are is the key to transformation.
?
Each One Teach One
- lifting as we climb, no one left behind.
?
Love as Law
- compassion and justice are the compass for everything we do.
These are not just words. They are our
DNA
and our
North Star
, shaping every step of our journey.
The Role - Volunteer Organisational Architect
We are looking for a visionary and detail-driven
Organisational Architect
to help design the backbone of our CIC. This is a game-changing role for someone who wants to co-create a framework that will outlive us all -- a structure that empowers Black communities for generations to come.
Your focus will be on building the systems, frameworks, and structures that will allow hundreds of volunteers, departments, and projects to run with clarity, discipline, and efficiency. You will ensure that our CIC is not just powerful in vision, but also unshakable in execution.
Key Responsibilities (based on Year 1-2 Strategic Priorities):
Create SOPs:
Lead the development of Standard Operating Procedures for all departments (HR, Media Production, Finance, etc.), ensuring they are digitised and accessible.
Design Recruitment Pipelines:
Build a systematic process for volunteer onboarding (applications ? interviews ? induction ? training).
Build Departmental Structures:
Help us set up sub-groups (Sales & Marketing, Journalism & Media, AI & STEM, etc.) with clear roles and responsibilities.
Knowledge Management:
Establish a centralised digital platform (e.g., Google Drive, Notion) for storing SOPs, project archives, and records. Ensure accessibility for all.
Scalability:
Ensure every framework you build is future-proof, able to grow with the CIC as it moves from volunteer-driven to staff-led.
What We're Looking For:
Strong experience in organisational design, systems thinking, or operational strategy.
Ability to translate vision into practical frameworks and processes.
Passion for grassroots, survivor-led, and BAME-led movements.
Someone who thrives in building order from complexity.
Commitment to our values: Knowledge of Self, Each One Teach One, Love as Law.
Important - This Role Is 100% Voluntary
This is a
strictly voluntary role
.
There is
no financial payment
at this stage.
Expenses necessary to do the work will be covered.
As the CIC grows (from Year 2 onwards), small paid roles will begin to emerge. These will scale gradually. Everyone, including the founder, is currently unpaid.
Please only apply if you are committed to contributing your skills voluntarily to a movement that is bigger than all of us.
What You'll Gain:
The opportunity to
design the architecture
of a movement-led CIC.
First-hand experience in building operational systems for a national grassroots organisation.
Recognition as a key leader in shaping an empowering, survivor-led legacy.
Fulfilment from creating transformational structures that will empower Black communities for decades.
