Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and organised person to act as a volunteer Secretary to our small, friendly swimming club. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our club by managing communications and maintaining records. The successful applicant will receive all necessary training in the use of Swim England and club administration systems. Approximately 4 hours of administration work is anticipated each week.

Responsibilities



Administer the club email address Maintain accurate records for the club in Swim England online systems following Swim England guidelines Prepare agendas and minutes for club committee meetings Assist with the coordination of club member participation at local swimming competitions Support coaches and club members with administrative tasks to ensure they are working productively

Qualifications



Confident in general computer skills, including email, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace Reliable organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently As you will be working with children Bakewell Swimming Club will undertake an enhanced DBS check Swim England Safeguarding training session to be completed through the club online Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
