Meetings are typically held in the Stroud District area, Gloucestershire, with some attendance at key sites along the Cotswold Canals. Remote participation via video call is also supported.

Role Summary:
As a Trustee with expertise in
Property Valuation and Management
, you will play a key strategic role in helping the Cotswold Canals Trust manage and protect its land, buildings, and property assets. You will provide oversight, guidance, and assurance that the Trust's property portfolio is managed effectively, ethically, and in line with our charitable objectives.
This is a voluntary, non-executive position that contributes to the overall governance and strategic direction of one of the UK's most ambitious canal restoration charities.
Duties:
Support the Trust in overseeing the management, acquisition, leasing, and maintenance of land and property assets.
Provide professional insight into property valuation, asset management, and risk assessment.
Review and advise on property-related contracts, agreements, and negotiations.
Help ensure compliance with legal, planning, and environmental regulations.
Contribute to the development of the Trust's property strategy to ensure long-term sustainability.
Attend Trustee meetings and actively participate in discussions and decision-making.
Act as an ambassador for the Cotswold Canals Trust, upholding its values and supporting its mission to restore and care for the Cotswold Canals.
