Waiter/Waitress

Your ability to upsell menu items and maintain a high standard of food safety will contribute significantly to the success of our restaurant.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to. Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations to enhance the dining experience through upselling. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets our culinary standards. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines at all times. Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining excellent time management skills. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary basics. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. A friendly disposition with a passion for guest services and hospitality. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. A proactive approach to helping colleagues and contributing positively to the team dynamic.
