Duties

Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Assist with seating arrangements and manage reservations efficiently. Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials, to enhance the guest experience through effective upselling techniques. Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff while maintaining clear communication. Support food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Manage cash handling and basic maths tasks related to billing and payments. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, ensuring all surfaces are tidy and presentable. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery and address any guest concerns promptly.

Experience

Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food preparation processes and culinary practices is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services, ensuring every customer feels valued and attended to. A keen interest in the hospitality industry, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
