ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse and Production Operative to join our dynamic team. This role supports both the warehouse and production operations, ensuring the efficient handling, preparation, and dispatch of ecological materials and equipment. Production duties include cutting up felt and preparing other specialist items for ecologists.
3 or 4 days per week (no weekends)
08:00 - 17:00 (1-hour unpaid break)
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods and materials.
Pick, pack, and dispatch orders accurately and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and production areas.
Accurately cut felt and other materials to specified sizes using appropriate tools and techniques.
Prepare, assemble, and package items used in ecological surveys and fieldwork.
Assist with stock checks, inventory management, and quality control.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Collaborate with other team members to meet daily targets and deadlines.
Report any issues, shortages, or damages to the supervisor promptly.
COMPETENCIES
Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
Experience using cutting tools and preparing materials is an advantage.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks.
Good communication skills.
Flexible and willing to assist with a variety of tasks.
