We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations and be proficient in the safe and efficient operation of forklifts. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of materials within our facility, contributing to overall productivity and safety.
Shift pattern is Mon-Friday 05:00 till 14:00.
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods efficiently.
Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all items are accurately documented and stored.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment, reporting any issues for timely repairs.
Handle materials safely, adhering to all health and safety regulations while performing heavy lifting as required.
Assist with general warehouse duties, maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a warehouse setting, with a solid understanding of materials handling processes.
Valid forklift certification is essential; additional certifications for other equipment are advantageous.
Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with basic equipment repairs when necessary.
Basic mathematical skills for accurate inventory management and documentation.
Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently, demonstrating physical stamina for the demands of the role.
