Job Description

Feridax is on the lookout for a driven and energetic Warehouse Operations Manager to take full ownership of some of world-renowned motorcycle brands we represent and manage with pride. This is a hands-on leadership role dealing with our D2C and wholesale operations, overseeing a committed team of warehouse operatives and supporting our multi-channel Retail, B2B, and eCommerce business.

Role Summary



The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimising all warehouse activities across wholesale and D2C channels within a fast-paced sports and lifestyle goods business. This role ensures products move efficiently from inbound delivery to customer dispatch and dealer distributor, while delivering high standards of accuracy, service, and operational excellence.

You will oversee day-to-day warehouse performance, people management, continuous improvement, and stock accuracy - ensuring the operation supports business growth, strong customer satisfaction, and a high-performance working environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Warehouse Operations



Lead the daily management of all warehouse functions including inbound, put-away, picking, packing, replenishment, and dispatch. Ensure fast, accurate fulfilment across both wholesale (B2B) and direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels. Maintain and optimise warehouse layout, processes, and workflows to support speed and efficiency. Oversee equipment, courier relationships, packaging stock, and operational resources. Opening and closing up site and first response to alarm call outs.

People Leadership



Manage, motivate, and develop a team of Warehouse Operatives and Team Leaders. Drive a positive, safe, and accountable team aligned with our company values, critical one being 'We Ride Together'. Create clear performance expectations and support ongoing training, coaching, and progression. Manage labour planning, shift patterns, and holiday scheduling to maintain operational coverage.

Stock Management & Accuracy



Oversee all stock control processes, ensuring high levels of accuracy across all SKUs. Lead cyclical and annual stock counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies quickly. Work closely with Supply Chain, Buying, and Commercial teams on replenishment, forecasting, and product availability.

Process Improvement & Efficiency



Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements to boost productivity and reduce cost. Introduce best-practice warehouse standards, SOPs, and KPIs. Drive continuous improvement through data, staff feedback, and cross-functional collaboration.

Health, Safety & Compliance



Ensure the warehouse is fully compliant with health & safety standards and company policies. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment for all staff. Lead risk assessments, equipment checks, and incident reporting.

Customer Experience & Quality



Ensure all wholesale and D2C orders meet accuracy, quality, and speed expectations. Monitor fulfilment performance and proactively resolve issues or delays. Minimise picking errors, damages, and late shipments through training and quality control.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



Essential



Requires a strong track record and several years' proven experience leading warehouse operations or managing high-performing teams. Experience in wholesale and/or D2C fulfilment, within sports, lifestyle, or fast-turnover products. Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of stock control systems, and operational KPIs. Business Central is our core platform of choice for managing stock, internal sales, and operational workflows. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Hands-on, proactive manager with a continuous improvement mindset.

Desirable



Experience scaling warehouse operations in a fast-growing business. Forklift license or warehouse equipment certifications.
