Job description
Key Responsibilities
Goods-in
Book in goods arriving at the warehouse and route to correct stock location or project destination
Perform inspection of goods on arrival as stated in the Company Quality system, and as directed your Line Manager and report any non-conformities
Organise the sample test of products as stated in the Company Quality system before making products available for sale or use.
Maintaining Stores/Stock
Ensure that products and goods are only taken out of stock using authorised processes e.g. correctly signed and processed purchase orders.
Ensure that products and goods are stored in correct location
Make sure Stock Database is kept up to date with stock information e.g. Stores location
Kit and allocate material for assembly or sales orders
Consumable stock level management - monitor and maintain stock levels based on agreed minimum levels.
Ensure efficient and effective use of limited stores area
Ensure stores areas are always kept tidy
Non-Conforming Materials (RMAs)
Manage the return of faulty / incorrect goods to suppliers and sub-contractors
Goods-out
Picking and Packing goods for dispatch in a timely manner in line with shipping schedules
Ensuring that packaging is of a high standard to ensure no transit damage is sustained to products and systems
Packing goods to a standard using materials defined by the project and/or customer (when required for particular projects and/or customers).
Prepare and create Packing list and Delivery notes
Make arrangements for collections
High level of attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
Good computer skills: use of MS office Applications, e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook
Manage own work effectively with minimal supervision
Work as part of a team and communicate well with all areas of the Company
Good organisational skills
Ability to deal with change and be prepared to help other areas of the business as when needed
Ability to follow accurately written procedures
Knowledge & Experience
Experience of computer usage - specifically spreadsheets - is required
Experience of MS Office Excel and Access is desirable
Experience of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Materials Resource Planning (MRP) is desirable
Knowledge of reading Technical / Mechanical drawings is desirable
