We are extremely proud to be working with a well known Water Treatment Company who have a global reach! A position has become available for an experienced Laboratory Development Analyst to join the team. This could be you!

Paying up to \xc2\xa330,000 DOE + Annual bonus up to 5% of salary. 22 days holiday + Bank holidays, Pension Employee 4.5% and Employer 4.5% via salary sacrifice, Private Healthcare and Death in Service (4 x basic salary) after probation.

Hours of Work \xe2\x80\x93 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

As a Lab Development Analyst, you will develop and deliver innovation within the Laboratory and Technical Development Team. You will support the day-to-day running of the Water Science Laboratory, perform analytical tests on samples received, using the standard methods set out in the Quality system following, approved HSE protocol.

You will develop innovative laboratory methods to identify solutions for solving real-word water treatment issues on our existing and prospective customers sites. You will lead lab-scale pilot, investigatory or consultancy projects across various water treatment technologies & processes, such as aerobic, anaerobic, membrane separation, centrifuge, DAF and many more.

There will occasionally be requirement to travel to UK Operations which will require staying away from home on an ad hoc basis.

Required Skills/Qualifications (Essential):

  • Degree/HND in Biochemistry/Chemistry or related science
  • Previous experience in a development role, ideally within the waste water industry
  • Existing knowledge of good laboratory practice, routine testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting (at least 2 years practical experience)
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy, computer literacy and laboratory skills
  • You\xe2\x80\x99ll have a good working knowledge of Quality systems such as ISO 9001 and ISO 17025
  • Good awareness of all HSE aspects in a laboratory environment (i.e., COSHH, RA)
  • Knowledge and working experience of quality systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Written and oral presentation skills of a high standard with ability to write detailed reports
