Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Website Administrator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our website infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience. This role requires a strong understanding of various technologies and frameworks, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Duties



Oversee the administration of our website and related applications, ensuring high availability and performance. Manage cloud services using AWS for hosting and deployment. Design and maintain system architecture that supports scalability and reliability. Develop solutions using Pegasystems for business process management. Administer databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server. Ensure information security protocols are in place to protect sensitive data. Collaborate with development teams to implement microservices architecture using Java, Python, or other programming languages. Utilise tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Kubernetes for version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). Conduct system administration tasks across various operating systems including Windows, Linux, UNIX, and ESXi. Write scripts in Bash (Unix shell) or Shell Scripting for automation of routine tasks. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to application performance or server downtime.

Requirements



Proven experience in website administration or similar IT roles with a focus on systems engineering and architecture. Strong knowledge of service-oriented architecture principles and solution architecture design. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is essential. Proficiency in database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, T-SQL and Salesforce is highly desirable. Understanding of DevOps practices and tools for automation of software delivery processes. Knowledge of information security best practices to safeguard web applications. Experience with virtualisation technologies like VMware or ESXi is an advantage. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
