We are seeking a highly organised and personable wedding coordinator to join our wedding team here at Gellifawr Woodland Retreat. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, exceptional organisational abilities, and experience in hospitality or related sectors such as restaurant or hotel management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create memorable occasions by coordinating a wedding day, vendor relationships, and client expectations with professionalism and flair. The hired candidate will be responsible for delivering a seamless wedding day, ensuring client satisfaction from initial consultation through to the wedding day and all the admin & liaising upto the big day. You will also be hosting showcases, touring potential couples around the venue and tailoring quotes for their big day.
Responsibilities
Liaise with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for their wedding day.
Coordinate with vendors including caterers, florists, photographers, and venue staff to ensure all elements are aligned with the client's wishes.
Manage timelines and schedules to guarantee all preparations are completed on time.
Upsell additional services or upgrades to maximise client satisfaction and revenue opportunities.
Oversee the setup of the wedding and ensuring all arrangements are executed flawlessly.
Provide exceptional guest services during the event, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
Maintain detailed organisational records of bookings, payments, vendor contacts, and event plans.
Assist with fundraising or promotional activities related to wedding events or venue marketing when required.
Experience
Proven experience in event planning, hospitality, restaurant management, or hotel operations is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Excellent time management skills to ensure all aspects of the wedding are executed smoothly.
Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining a focus on client satisfaction.
Exceptional communication skills for liaising effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
Experience in guest services or hospitality roles is advantageous for providing outstanding customer care during events.
