Wedding Venue Manager
to lead its next phase of development.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for the wedding industry, strong business acumen, and a proactive, hands-on approach. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our venue, from sales and marketing to operations and client management.
About the Role
As the
Wedding Venue Manager
, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the wedding business, with responsibility for increasing bookings, managing client relationships, and ensuring every event runs smoothly and meets the highest standards. You'll also work closely with the estate owner to develop and implement strategic plans to grow the business further.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Venue Management
Oversee the daily management of the venue and its facilities
Coordinate with staff, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless operations
Liaise regularly with the estate owner and wider team to align on strategy and progress
Manage the bookings calendar, client journey, and venue scheduling
Maintain the highest standards of presentation, safety, and customer service
Sales & Client Relations
Conduct regular venue show rounds and client meetings
Manage the sales pipeline and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings
Build and nurture relationships with clients, ensuring an exceptional customer experience from enquiry to event delivery
Negotiate contracts and packages confidently and professionally
Marketing & Business Development
Lead marketing initiatives, particularly digital marketing and social media
Manage and update social media channels, online listings, and blogs
Run targeted ad campaigns (e.g. Google Ads, Meta)
Identify and implement growth opportunities in the wedding sector
Represent the venue at fairs, expos, and networking events as required
Event Planning & Delivery
Oversee the planning and coordination of all booked weddings and events
Ensure all logistics and client requirements are met to the highest standard
Manage event set-up, supplier coordination, and on-the-day execution
Monitor feedback and implement improvements where necessary
About You
We're looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, organised, and passionate about delivering unforgettable events. The ideal candidate will be:
Experienced
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in a wedding venue or event management role
Sales-savvy
- Strong track record in sales, negotiation, and closing bookings
Client-focused
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with a diverse range of clients
Business-minded
- Financially literate with commercial awareness and goal-oriented
Digitally fluent
- Experience managing social media, blogs, and online advertising campaigns
Detail-oriented
- High standards and a keen eye for detail
Flexible
- Willing and able to work some evenings, weekends, and irregular hours as required
Self-motivated
- Able to work independently and take initiative
Local
- Must live within easy reach of Wadhurst, East Sussex
