We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Responsibilities
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as directed by chefs.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for service.
Support the cooking team during busy periods by providing timely assistance.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment, such as a restaurant or catering setting, is preferred.
Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous.
A willingness to learn and develop skills is crucial for success in this role.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
A passion for food and cooking, along with a positive attitude towards learning new skills in the kitchen.
