About the role:
As our
Weighbridge Operative,
reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will maintain and operate the weighbridge office and the processing of vehicles in and out of site by a computerised weighing system.
Your key responsibilities as our
Weighbridge Operative
will include:
Ensuring customers requirements are met and delivery dockets are correctly completed to ensure weight of vehicles are in compliance with the Road Traffic Acts.
Reporting to the Sales Office any additional orders received or any shortfall in orders.
Ensuring that materials are not supplied to customers appearing on the Company Control Stop List.
Undertaking cash sales transactions in accordance with Company procedures.
At close of business for the day to batch tickets, record tonnages and forward documentation to the Sales Office.
Undertaking shipping and transport routing where required.
What we're looking for in our Weighbridge Operative:
Good level of customer service skills.
Organisational and administrative skills.
Proficient in the use of IT systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience in the Quarry industry or in a similar role would be advantageous.
