Wellbeing Officer

\xc2\xa320,044 per annum, based on an FTE \xc2\xa326,000 per annum, pro rata

37.5 hours per week

Term Time only contract of 35 weeks per year

Fixed Term until June 2024

About the Role

  • You will form part of the dynamic and fast paced wellbeing team, supporting all students at Hartpury with their emotional wellbeing as well as supporting them in developing life skills.
  • Together with your team, you will be responsible for ensuring there are a range of opportunities available for Hartpury students which promote their health and wellbeing, including supporting Hartpury\xe2\x80\x99s annual WellFest event and other events within the student community.
  • You will act as a first point of contact for students regarding wellbeing and, in some cases, safeguarding matters.
  • You will support students with Behaviour, Emotional and Social difficulties; working with other professionals in the college to create a Positive Behaviour Support Plan/ Care Plan/risk assessment with appropriate ongoing support.
  • You will support the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure all staff and students are aware and kept up to date on Hartpury\xe2\x80\x99s Child Protection and Safeguarding Procedures.
  • You will hold a case load of students that you support appropriately regularly whilst also hosting daily drop-in sessions in Hartpury\xe2\x80\x99s wellbeing centre and throughout the campus.
About You
  • You will hold a Level 3 Safeguarding qualification or be willing to work towards it.
  • It would be advantageous to hold a Level 3 Youth Support IAG qualification.
  • You will have experience of working in a one to one or small group capacity with young people behaviour, emotional and social difficulties.
  • You will have the ability to work flexibly and work effectively as part of a team.
  • You will be emotionally resilient and able to prioritise different needs appropriately.
