Le Vignoble is a modern wine retail, wine lounge & wine education business in Royal William Yard, Plymouth.

We're currently looking for an experienced & enthusiastic manager to lead our team.

Le Vignoble Plymouth opened in 2012 and has since built a fantastic reputation in the city as a relaxed wine merchant, bar & wine tasting venue. We are looking for a manager who shares the same values as the company, and who has the drive, enthusiasm, and determination to take the business to the next level.

The position will involve effective management of our dedicated team of staff, maintaining the fantastic team spirit, employee retention and performance we have achieved. The ability to be able to control many aspects of the business is also important, the job of manager is very hands-on and involves overseeing the day-to-day operations, procedures, health & safety standards, expenditure and targets just to name a few.

We expect the manager to not only be very competent operationally, but to also take a keen interest in the figures, and to play an important part in increasing the turnover year on year, so knowledge of marketing and previous experience in business development would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced level of wine knowledge, with at least a WSET Level 2. This is important to the company being a wine specialist, so that we can build professional client relationships and develop the knowledge of our employees. We also require at least 2 years of experience at management level within the hospitality or wine industry.

We are offering a competitive package for the right person, on top of the basic salary the manger can expect to receive a substantial additional amount from service charge and tips. We also offer wine buying trips both in the UK and Europe.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
