The Role

We are seeking a

Wood Machinist / Joiner

to join our workshop team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong experience in workshop machinery and joinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain machines such as the

edge bander

,

beam saw

,

spindle moulder

, etc. Work from technical drawings, jigs, templates and instructions. Carry out joinery tasks (cutting, shaping, assembling) as needed. Work as part of the workshop team to meet production schedules, while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety. Suggest process improvements and efficiency gains in the workshop.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven hands-on experience in a wood workshop environment. Good joinery skills--fitting, assembling, finishing. Ability to read technical drawings and work to tolerances. Strong attention to detail, problem solving and a commitment to quality. Good communication skills; ability to work well within a team. Reliability, good work ethic, and a safe working mindset.
