Workshop Controller and Aftersales Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To maintain skill levels and full awareness of all technology and repair methods used in the vehicle range, attending relevant training when required.
Using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified.
Carry out routine repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
Adhere to manufacturer and dealer quality standards.
Complete relevant service documentation (electronic job sheets, PDI's, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty and site requirements, including E-workshop sign off within brand parameters.
Complete high quality vehicle health checks.
Where requested, be proactive in preparation for the customer visit, including working with the parts department to pre order any parts or tools required.
Talk directly to customers with appropriate concerns and ensure that all work is carried out in full and followed up until resolved.
To be fully conversant with all manufacturer's technical literature and information bulletins and ensure that this information is cascaded to the team.
Assist the ASM in identifying training and development needs within the workshop team.
Liaise with Workshop Controller/Aftersales Manager to quality control work as requested.
To coach and develop other technical team members within the workshop.
Ensure that workshop health & safety and housekeeping standards are always maintained including the use of special and personal tools.
Continue your professional development through the manufacturer training pathways available including Hybrid and BEV technologies.
Manage liaison between workshop and service reception on customer vehicle progress.
Drive efficiency in the workshop
Skills & Requirements
Essential
Manufacturer Level 4 certification or equivalent.
Relevant NVQ / IMI Light vehicle maintenance qualification.
Highly skilled in fault diagnosis.
Smart appearance.
Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience
