Westcountry Slate Supplies are looking for a friendly reliable and helpful member of staff to join the team at our Premises in Lanner Redruth. Our Yard Worker role includes a variety of tasks to complete within the working day. The sort of things we are expecting of our Yard Worker is:

To be serving customers over the phone and in branch, Keeping the Yard and Inside storage unit clean and Tidy Use the Computer system and gain a knowledge over time of the products To drive the Forklift and help with loading & unloading lorries
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and passion for customer service and a willingness to help out in any situation.

Our Hours are Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 5pm. We have mandatory 2 weeks holiday at Christmas whilst the store is closed which leaves 2 weeks to take over the rest of the year. We are also closed on Bank Holidays & the Saturday of the Bank Holiday weekend. Which we give as holiday time in addition to the 2 weeks (unless pre-booked holiday coincides & we do not give extra days in lieu for the Christmas/New Year Bank holidays).

We have a workplace pension scheme in place with Auto enrolment which we enrol all members of staff who are eligible inline with government guidelines.

We are a specialist Slate importer and Roofing Materials Supplier supplying both the Wholesale and retail sector in the South West from our 2 branches (1 in cornwall and 1 in Devon) we have recently moved into larger premises in our Exeter store and we are still family owed and run.

Pay: 22,100.00-26,984.10 per year
