Street Talk is our detached youth work team that delivers youth activities in community venues on the streets/parks and from our mobile unit. Services include sexual health; young parents; LGBT+; Young Carers etc. All staff carry a caseload of young people who need a youth work intervention, the majority of these young people have some form of mental health/wellbeing need. Whilst one role is generic, the other role is specifically for a youth worker with experience of providing mental health interventions to young people and who can lead this area of work for the wider team and develop our mental health offer, for both one to one and group activities (this can be either the full time perm or 24 hour per week temporary role).

You should have experience of working with diverse youth groups in educational, social, or community settings. You should have strong organisational skills, safeguarding knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A relevant qualification in youth work or a related field is preferred, alongside a genuine passion for empowering young people to reach their full potential. For the mental health lead role, you will have specific skills in supporting young people with a range of mental health needs.
