Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive Account Manager to oversee the delivery and performance of multiple facilities management contracts across the South. Based primarily from our Portsmouth and Whiteley offices, you will support and guide Contract Managers in achieving compliance, financial targets, and service excellence.

A key part of the role will be providing leadership and people management, including coaching and developing Contract Managers and their teams. You will also monitor contract performance, resolve escalations, drive continuous improvement, and identify opportunities for growth, ensuring Corrigenda continues to deliver outstanding value to its clients.



Key Responsibilities Include



(but not limited to):



Operational

Support Contract Managers in delivering high-quality planned and reactive services.

Monitor contract performance, identify improvement areas, and implement best practice.

Ensure compliance with client contracts and manage contract variations.

Assist with renewals, tenders, and mobilisation of new clients.

Work with internal teams (including IT and Technical Services) to develop systems and

processes.

Attend client and internal meetings as required.Health and Safety

Provide leadership on health and safety matters across contracts.

Support the production and review of risk and method statements.

Attend internal and external H&S meetings and contribute to audits and accreditations.

Ensure all works are delivered safely and in compliance with regulations.



People

Lead, coach, and develop Contract Managers and their teams.

Oversee HR processes for direct reports including holidays, return-to-work interviews, and employee relations issues.

Deputise for other Account Managers, Contract Managers, or Relationship Managers as

required.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.



Financial/Commercial

Monitor contract profitability and highlight issues to management.

Review and approve financial applications, invoices, credit notes, and variations.

Support clients with budget planning and resolve financial queries.

Manage aged WIP and debt, working closely with finance teams.

Contribute to monthly and annual forecasts, ensuring financial targets are met.

Identify and generate additional business opportunities within existing contracts.



Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:



Essential:



Industry-recognised qualifications in Building Services or a related field.

Strong knowledge of hard FM service delivery.

Proven experience managing multi-million-pound FM contracts or departments.

Commercial and financial awareness of service contracts.

Excellent people management skills with the ability to coach and develop others.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.

Proven track record in achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

Good understanding of HR processes and procedures.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

IT literate and confident with systems.

Full UK driving licence and ability to satisfy enhanced DBS checks.
