Our team specialises in self-employment registration, VAT returns, and tax affairs, with a strong focus on delivering excellent client service and compliance with HMRC requirements.
The Role
We are seeking a full-time
Accountancy Support Officer
to work directly under our accountant. You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day client accountancy needs, ensuring accuracy in compliance, and providing excellent support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing self-employment registrations with HMRC.
Compiling reports and maintaining accurate financial records.
Preparing VAT returns for accountant review.
Providing telephone and email support to clients regarding accountancy matters.
Liaising with clients and HMRC where required.
Supporting the accountant with ad hoc tasks as the business grows.
About You:
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Confident communicator, especially on the phone.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Previous experience in accountancy, bookkeeping, or administration is desirable but not essential (training will be provided).
Competent IT skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office or similar tools.
