About the Role:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Accountant to support our growing portfolio of construction clients across UK and the Republic of Ireland. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) in the UK, RCT (Relevant Contracts Tax) in the ROI, and experience with R&D tax credit claims specific to the construction sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated finance professional to join a dynamic and supportive team, working in a cross-border environment.
Open to full and part time candidate, flexible working hours. Pay and hours can be discussed at interview stage.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and submission of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax returns for UK & ROI entities Managing RCT compliance, including registrations, monthly filings, and liaising with subcontractors Preparation of management accounts and financial reports Liaising with clients, HMRC, and Revenue (ROI) on compliance and queries Audit and year-end processes as required
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant
(ACCA, ACA or equivalent) Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably with construction industry In-depth knowledge ofCIS
(UK) andRCT
(ROI) regulations Experience preparing or supportingR&D claims
Strong understanding of UK and ROI tax systems Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage and Xero)Desirable:
Experience working with construction clients or subcontractors Knowledge of Irish payroll and VAT rules Cross-border tax knowledge (NI/ROI)

Pay: 35,000.00-50,000.00 per year
