We offer comprehensive services to other businesses operating in the accident management sector, including claims management companies, body shops, motor fleet operators, and claims managers. Our expertise lies in providing end-to-end solutions with a smooth process to insure customer satisfaction.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Company Accountant to join our team at 1010 solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial activities of our organisation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial operations. You will have the autonomy to manage your own workload, therefore you must possess confidence and leadership qualities, with the ability to trust your own judgement. Due to significant growth we are looking for someone to join us during this expansion, to help navigate through the maze and create an integral structure required for success.

Responsibilities



Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with executive management. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. Maintain general ledger accounts and perform month-end and year-end closing procedures. Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Manage tax compliance activities, including preparation and submission of VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and other statutory filings. Liaise with external tax advisors as necessary to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations. Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash resources to meet operational requirements and enhance fluidity. Prepare cash flow forecasts and recommend strategies to mitigate cash flow risks. Coordinate annual financial audits and liaise with external auditors to facilitate audit procedures. Address audit inquiries and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) is highly desirable. Proven experience (4+ years) in accounting roles, with a focus on financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance. Experience in professional services or consultancy firms is advantageous. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation laws in the UK. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP). Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
