We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic and friendly team in-house. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, assisting Account & Finance Manager, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles, along with proficiency in various accounting software.
Duties
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support for projects.
Utilise accounting software such as Sage, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, or Xero for efficient financial management.
Mentor junior staff members in accounting practices and software usage to enhance team capabilities.
Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Skills
Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
Proficiency in financial accounting and reporting standards.
Experience with accounting software such as Sage, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, or Xero is highly desirable.
Ability to manage accounts payable efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with colleagues across various departments.
Experience in mentoring or training others is an advantage.
