Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting practices, with proficiency in Sage accounting software. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.

Responsibilities



Prepare and maintain and submit accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable standards. Manage taxation, strategy and advise on efficient working practices Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage for efficient financial management. Provide mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development in accounting practices. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Requirements



Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services sector. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft) is essential. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is advantageous. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory for the right candidate with a valid membership to a recognised professional body.
