We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Accountant to join our dynamic financial team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.
Duties
Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in accordance with accounting standards.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
Conduct financial accounting tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft for efficient financial management.
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff members in accounting practices and software usage.
Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns and audits as required.
Experience
Proven experience in an accounting role within the financial services sector is essential.
Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
Familiarity with various accounting software packages, including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
