Pangolin Editions is a world leading art foundry based in Chalford, Stroud. Our skilled, innovative and dynamic team of craftspeople originate, cast and fabricate art works and public sculpture from the very small to the monumental for some of the foremost artists of our time.
About the role
We are looking for an additional part-time, qualified, part qualified or QBE Accountant to join the accounts team in Pangolin Editions Ltd. The role is "hands on" in a small department and includes:
Review and preparation of monthly management accounts with the Financial Controller and other team members including reconciliations of key control accounts
Monitoring large project profitability and processes, general cost control and project accounting
Supporting the Financial Controller with the implementation of system improvements, analysis, reports, controls and procedures
Supporting the Financial Controller with special projects as required
Managing financial paperwork for imports and exports as the main point of contact
Maintain Fixed Asset Register including vehicles
Assist with stock, stock management processes, stock takes and procedures
Manage intercompany account balances
Providing technical support as required to other staff as required
Provide sickness/holiday cover for other roles in the department including Purchase and Sales Ledger and Payroll processing.
Other tasks including insurance renewals, utilities, ONS returns, budgeting and forecasting
Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of year end accounts, files, and draft year end statutory accounts
About you
You will be positive and outgoing, flexible and organised
You will able to work alone and as part of a team, and have good interpersonal skills.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required
Sage experience is essential, as is a sound understating of Excel and spreadsheets.
Knowledge of Filemaker would be an advantage, but we will provide training on this package.
