Our client base includes a wide variety of businesses, with a particular focus on small to medium-sized enterprises, including those in the construction sector.

We're now looking for an experienced Accountant to join our close-knit team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to make a real difference to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Reviewing and sending year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders Reviewing VAT returns Preparing management accounts and reports for clients Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and support Supporting junior staff and reviewing work where appropriate Assisting with tax compliance, including corporate tax returns

Requirements

Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is essential

Solid knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations Ideally some experience or understanding of VAT in the

construction industry

(e.g., CIS scheme, reverse charge VAT) Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/ACA (preferred but not essential if experience is strong)
