The Role
We are looking for a
Accounts & Administrative Assistant
to join our friendly and professional team to carry out day-to-day accounts functions along with general business administration and support duties.
This is a full-time office based role (09:00 - 17:00) working from our head offices at Barnwell, Northamptonshire. Reporting to our Accounts Manager you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial and administrative functions of the company, your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks will be needed to support the growing needs of the business.

Who you are
You are someone who thrives within a small multi-disciplined team environment, you will have a positive mindset and be comfortable working in a varied role, taking on responsibility for a number of different functions as the role develops.
Whether you have experience in office administration, accounts office or a customer support role, you will be looking to develop your skills in a busy accounts office, and you will have good organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills including phone, email, and face to face interactions.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Experience of accounts office, administrative, or customer support role/s
AAT Level 2 / NVQ Business & Administration Qualification
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience of Sage (50) accounting software
Good IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Ability to work independently to strict deadlines and manage priorities (following training)
Knowledge of purchasing, invoicing, and credit control functions
A proactive and flexible approach to work
A positive and friendly approach
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
What You'll do:
Process and maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments
Reconcile bank statements and manage expenses
Purchasing and stock control
Sales order administration
Support customer and supplier account queries
Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel
Administer company accreditations and compliance records
Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing correspondence
Manage office supplies and ensure the office environment is organised and efficient
Reception / goods receipt
Provide outstanding customer service to our clients and others at all times
