About the Role:



We are a reputable and fast-paced law firm based in the City of London, seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts & Administrative Assistant?to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone starting their career in finance, especially those currently studying AAT, ACCA, or another finance qualification.

You will play a key role in supporting our finance and office operations, handling daily accounts tasks and general administrative duties across the firm. Full training will be provided, and you will gain valuable experience within a legal finance environment, with opportunities to grow.

Key Responsibilities:



Finance Support:

Assist with invoice processing, payment runs, and expense claims Support the preparation of financial records, reconciliations, and month-end tasks Post financial transactions into accounting software Help maintain accurate client and office ledger records (in line with SRA Accounts Rules) Liaise with suppliers and respond to basic finance-related queries Assist with preparation of VAT returns and compliance reports
Administrative Duties:

Provide general office and clerical support to the accounts and legal teams Assist with email correspondence and phone calls Support day-to-day office operations Answer telephone calls and manage incoming/outgoing mail Assist with managing office supplies and stationery orders Organise and maintain digital and hard-copy filing systems in line with data protection standards Book meetings, handle calendar scheduling, and assist with basic reception cover if required Support document preparation, scanning, archiving, and other general admin tasks

What We're Looking For:



Essential:



A strong interest in starting a career in accounting or finance Currently studying (or has completed study) AAT, ACCA, or similar finance qualification Good organisational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication Willingness to learn and grow within the firm Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically?Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with spreadsheets, trackers, and reporting tools.
Desirable (but not essential):

Prior office-based experience, particularly in finance or legal administration Familiarity with legal accounting systems LEAP

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 22.5 per week
