We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounts Executive to join our accounts department.
Job Summary
We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to manage the day-to-day financial operations of The Point. This semi-hybrid role, of 20-25 hours per week, will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of our growing business. A significant part of this role will involve managing property rental statements.
Key Responsibilities
Property Rental Management:
Prepare and raise monthly statements for property rentals, ensuring accurate and timely distribution to property owners.
Reconcile rental income and expenses, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
Maintain detailed records of all property rental agreements and transactions.
General Bookkeeping:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
Perform daily bank reconciliations.
Process expense reports and petty cash.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Prepare financial reports as required by management.
Ensure compliance with company policies.
Administrative Support:
Assist with general administrative tasks within the finance department.
Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial queries.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in a bookkeeping or similar financial role.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis and reporting.
Experience with Xero accounting software.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Discretion and integrity when handling confidential financial information.
Working Hours & Location
This is a semi-hybrid role, requiring approximately 20-25 hours per week. The successful candidate will be expected to work a combination of days from our offices at The Point and remotely, as agreed with management.
