The Company



Sheldon Bosley Knight are a Firm of Land and Property Professionals with its Head Office in Stratford-upon-Avon. Over the last five years, the business has grown and developed to over 250 staff and consultants based in 14 offices from across Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Leicestershire and The Cotswolds.

With roots dating back more than 180 years, the business has extensive local knowledge, and the company has strong relationships with many local professional advisors and plays a pivotal role in the communities that it serves.

As well as offering rural advice and professional services, SBK manage commercial and residential property portfolios, residential sales and lettings, valuation, general practice work, planning and architecture, development, strategic land promotion, client accounting, block management and compulsory purchase.

Key responsibilities:



? Producing quality CAD/BIM drawings, including Land Registry Plans, floor plans, elevations, and details.

? Preparation of Scope of Works and initial Briefing Notes for projects.

? Site assessments and development potential, including planning histories, policy analysis and interpretation of material considerations.

? Preparing and submitting planning applications through the planning system.

? Work with colleagues to increase knowledge of Planning Law and Practice and seek opportunities to develop and increase exposure to projects.

? Liaising with Case Officers, Clients and Consultants regarding third party reports and project updates.

? Planning advice on farm diversification and asset enhancement opportunities.

Key requirements



? Architectural undergraduate qualification, ideally including planning related modules.

? Minimum 2 years architectural experience, ideally at least 12 months in the private sector.

? Produce presentation work, including drawings, renderings, and visualisations, to enhance application documents.

? Conduct design reviews and prepare drawings as required.

? Present design concepts and proposals to clients.

? Work independently or as part of a team, reporting to a Director.

? Enthusiastic and passionate about residential and commercial design

? Proficient using AutoCAD

and/or

Revit software

? Proven experience in producing accurate and attractive drawings for planning applications.

? Assist in preparing planning applications, design and access statements, and other supporting documents

? Full driving licence, and access to your own vehicle.

? The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.

? A willingness to be part of a team, to assist and interact with your colleagues.

? The ability to learn new skills and working methods and be adaptable to change.

? A proactive approach to work.

? Strong understanding of construction principles and UK residential planning regulations

Desired



? Good understanding Photoshop, rendering software and other graphic packages.

? Experienced with Adobe Suite including InDesign and Photoshop

? Experience in building and land surveys

? Report writing skills with good attention to detail

? Excellent teamwork and communication

? Highly motivated with excellent communication and organisation skills

? A keen eye for detail and a flair for design

? Knowledge and experience in Construction Management.
