Job Description

Oakridge Golf Club is an 18-hole proprietary golf club situated in Nuneaton.

We are looking for a Greenkeeper to present, maintain and improve, throughout the year, our 18 hole golf course using a fleet of machinery.

Candidates would report directly to the Head Greenkeeper, should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work both as part of a team or alone, contributing ideas to enhance the quality of the course. Ideally highly motivated with good communication skills.

A varied and rewarding opportunity, each day will entail a variety of tasks, they must be able to work in all weather conditions, be physically fit with the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to start work early in the mornings.

Requirements

- 2 year's experience (preferred although not essential) Training will be provided.
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques and practices
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in groundskeeping work
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively

-Weekend rota based work which is paid as overtime

Responsibilities:
- Perform general groundskeeping duties to maintain the appearance and functionality of the green spaces
- Build and maintain landscape features such as paths, fences, and walls
- Irrigate lawns, plants, and trees to ensure proper hydration
- Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and pruning
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to complete various tasks
- Dig holes for planting and transplanting trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems
- Operate and maintain mechanical equipment used in groundskeeping activities
