We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automatic Door Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automatic door systems across various domestic, commercial and industrial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for engineering and a keen eye for detail to contribute to the safety and functionality of automated access solutions.
This role will predominantly be covering the Bournemouth and Poole area, but the willingness on rare occasions to travel further afield to accommodate other areas will be required.
The ideal candidate will be able to work across many different operator manufacturers.
Responsibilities
Install, commission, and test automatic door systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards EN16005.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to facilitate accurate installation and repairs.
Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including service reports and parts utilised.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during installation and maintenance activities.
Keep up-to-date on new developments in automatic door technology to enhance service quality.
Qualifications
Proven experience in installing, maintaining, or repairing automatic doors or similar automated access systems.
Strong understanding of electrical wiring, mechanical components, and control systems relevant to automatic doors.
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals effectively.
Good problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting faults.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Hold an up-to-date certificate in EN16005
A valid UK driving licence is essential due to the need for site visits across different locations.
